A history of the Miss Canada Pageant (1946-1992) forthcoming in book form
(with a nod to Miss Dominion of Canada and international contests)

Hundreds of never-before-seen photos are part of the collection of this book. Several have been added to the Facebook and Instagram pages. More will be displayed here in the coming weeks.

46 women have worn the Miss Canada crown during the duration of this pageant, including one who only reigned for six weeks before being dethroned.
Hamilton, Ontario businessman S. Radcliffe Weaver ran the pageant with his wife Edna, and his children pitching in as well, until early 1962. Toronto businessman Walter Pasko assembled a team who took over the Miss Canada title that year, running their first event in November of 1963, which also marked the first national telecast of the pageant. In 1971, Cleo Productions, a subsidiary of Baton Broadcasting (now CTV) in Toronto, took over the pageant, running the event until the company folded in January of 1992.
